The Art Director is responsible for conceptual development and the execution of creative deliverables. These responsibilities include creating and communicating concepts, implementing marketing strategies and developing interactive design solutions. Reporting to the President the Art Director will work with and lead a collaborative team of designers, copywriters and production specialists. Balancing creative thinking with interpersonal skills, this person will demonstrate an ability to justify concepts to both the client and the project team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Developing concepts and communicating ideas
  • Balancing strategic development with client business objectives
  • Directing & delegating to core creative services disciplines (design, information architecture, audio design, production and copywriting)
  • Directly contributing to project design and development:- creating storyboards / initial graphic concepts- conceiving functional design solutions- creating site grids and interface demos
  • Providing quality assurance of all creative deliverables
  • Mentoring and coaching team members through project development
  • Building and maintaining a rapport with clients, partner agencies and vendors
  • Contribute to the innovative development of the creative department

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong design portfolio with 4+ years education, 4+ years design and interactive work experience
  • Experience leading a team of designers, production specialists and writers to creative excellence.
  • Well-developed communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively and justify concepts to clients and team members
  • Experience with strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines
  • A solid working knowledge of the latest versions of Mac OS, Adobe CC, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign
  • Committed to the profession of visual communication

Project Manager

Brand Society develops interactive web-based media solutions and POS. The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for the successful development of these solutions, working with cross-functional, multi-project team resources to ensure solutions are delivered on-time and on budget according to defined scope, timeline and cost parameters. The Project Manager plans, schedules and controls all project activities toward these objectives, applying technical, theoretical and managerial skills to satisfy project requirements, while building positive professional relationships with clients and associates.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and effectively execute project plans throughout the life of assigned project(s) according to established procedures
  • Establish clear project parameters supporting the success of all internal and external stakeholders
  • Understand and communicate client business needs to the internal team and to third-party translation vendors
  • Provide and promote high standards of professionalism and leadership throughout the life of projects, both within and outside the organization, appropriately representing Brand Society’ business practices, protocols and standards
  • Negotiate, define, communicate and manage the scope of the project
  • Create and maintain a project schedule, which defines activities, sequence, dependencies, work effort, duration and associated resource requirements
  • Forecast, track and manage project budgets, POS and invoices
  • Define, negotiate, communicate, implement and monitor quality standards on all project deliverables
  • Acquire appropriate resources to meet project needs
  • Manage client, third-party vendor and internal team performance and dynamics as appropriate
  • Plan and manage internal and external project communications, ensuring effective exchange of project information and deliverables
  • Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate and communicate project risks

 

Required Skills:

  • Post-secondary education in business or technical field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Manager managing print and interactive web projects
  • Experience planning and managing Print Campaigns
  • Project Management Certification desired but not required
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional product teams within budgetary and schedule constraints
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple third-party vendors
  • Demonstrated experience managing external and internal clients
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles, methods and techniques
  • Knowledge of software/internet development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Business Management principles, methods and techniques
  • Ability to strategically and tactically organize and structure activities, paying particular attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple planned and unplanned projects, roles and responsibilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of decision-making and problem-solving techniques to facilitate effective project and organizational leadership
  • Proficiency with Mac OS, MS Office, Keynote, Numbers, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Demonstrated work ethic, integrity and professional conduct
  • Demonstrated ability to implement structure and process when required
